Traceable Calibration V’s UKAS

Traceable Calibration.

The Traceable Calibration is the standard (and most popular) type of Calibration offered by Industrial Calibration. This type of certification is adequate for most applications and meets the calibration requirements of ISO 9001. All measurements contained in this type of certification are traceable back to National Standards.

UKAS Calibrations. (ISO/IEC 17025)

UKAS calibration is the highest level of calibration we can offer.

Generally this type of calibration is more expensive than the Traceable counterpart as there are stringent standards that need to be met.

UKAS have approved our laboratory which enables us to undertake calibrations and issue Certificates bearing the UKAS symbol. (These are the only certificates that can bear the symbol, it can not to be used on any other paperwork which may cause confusion, and mis-lead a client into believing that any measurements, other than those on the UKAS Certificate are UKAS Accredited).

All procedures and reported results are in compliance with the International Standard ISO/IEC 17025.

UKAS certification is also widely accepted internationally due to the ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) agreement.

What is UKAS? (source, the UKAS website)

“The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is the national accreditation body for the United Kingdom. UKAS is recognised by government, to assess against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.”
