STANDARD V'S UKAS
Standard Calibration V's UKAS
Standard Calibrations, or in-house calibrations as they are often referred to, are the most popular type of calibration. This type of certification is adequate for most applications and meets the calibration requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 : 2008 (Section 7.6). All measurements are traceable back to NPL (National Physical Laboratory).UKAS Calibrations (United Kingdom Accreditation Service, formally NAMAS) are carried out to UKAS approved procedures using UKAS approved standards. The UKAS certificate carries more credibility than a standard certificate and will be accepted by most auditors as satisfying traceability requirements. A UKAS certificate is also widely accepted internationally.
Traceability
All calibrations are traceable to National Standards. Whether your instrument is calibrated in our air conditioned workshop, or in the environmentally controlled UKAS Laboratory, a certificate with detailed results will be supplied. See examples below:
